Yesterday morning I put the grommets in the shower curtain, hung it on the wall for a quick picture, and then hung it in the bathroom in its rightful place. Unfortunately, the bathroom isn't big enough to get a very good picture but I think it is great! It has been a good day. I accomplished what I hoped for and managed to get a few other things done too! First and foremost I got the main body of the shower curtain put together. What do you think? I spent last Friday in the sewing room. I got two comfort quilts basted and quilted. I even had one of the bindings finished before I headed for bed. We have started redoing the bathroom this week. The first step is to install the cabinet we bought last week. I have the grandkids this week and my grandson has been wanting to do some sewing with me. But I have done some work! My niece, Brita, came for a week's visit to help me get some things done. Our main job was getting two rows of raspberries and the weeds in between dug up and cleaned out and the berries replanted. We got that done in two days and this is the best this garden has looked in probably over 10 years! We also helped my hubby get the pine T&G up on the ceiling in the garage.

Someone dropped off three huge garbage bags of fabric at church for the quilting ladies. I was pretty busy this weekend. I got the quilt quilted and the binding is just waiting for the hand-sewing. I also finished the blocks for the quilt for our Tuesday evening quilt swap done. I had hoped to finish the blocks yesterday but that pumpkin project took more time and energy than expected. I think I got 16 cups of pumpkin to put in the freezer for future use and I used 2 cups to make some delicious pumpkin bread. Yesterday morning I just had to get at least one of the blocks for my next quilt done before I headed out for the day. I decided to do two to try out two different methods of putting them together. I spent much of my free time this past week working on ripping apart the blocks that I put together at the quilt retreat that were not the right size. After ripping I pulled out all the little threads, pressing them and then trimming them. They are all ready to start putting them back together. We had a great weekend at Shoshone Base Camp in Idaho for our 2nd daughter's wedding. She and her husband met last fall at Camp Lutherhaven in Coeur d'Alene and she worked at Shoshone this past summer so it was the perfect spot for their wedding!It was such fun meeting all of Drew's family for the first time and spending the weekend with them and most of my extended family. The quilting is finished! the label is getting started and should be finished and on the quilt today. One whole day before the wedding. Must be some kind of record! Pictures will be posted on Monday!
