A little here, a little there

Time in the sewing room has been limited the last few days. Just too busy with other things and spring is coming so there are outside things that need to be taken care of too.

I have gotten a couple more rows done on the t-shirt quilt including the one with the most little pieces. I would love to get those row finished up this week and get the top all together so I can move on to other things that have pressing deadlines like my spring offering for the Four Seasons Quilt Swap, two auction quilts, another wine bottle quiltlet for an auction, etc.

Yesterday I got one of our apple trees pruned (the smallest of 5 that I prune). Today it is raining so I can stay inside with impunity!

Another item on my plate is our area's Relay for Life which is held at the end of May. I am a co-captain for our team and we are in the midst of a number of fund-raisers. If you haven't heard of Relay for Life before, it is a fund-raising event for the American Cancer Society. These events are held all around the country. Ours is at the local high school track from 6 pm Friday, May 30 to 1 pm Saturday, May 31. During this time there is at least one person from each team walking/jogging/running around the track. The first lap is the Survivor Lap and is walked by cancer survivors being cheered on by everyone else. Also on Friday night there is Ceremony of Hope where luminaries are lit to commemorate both loved ones who have lost their battle with cancer and survivors. If you would like to support me in this endeavor just comment and I will get more information to you.

I would like to support your cause. I followed the link and thought the relay was an inspiring idea. How many laps will you run?

BTW - I enabled the email followup to this comment, so you should be able to send me an email

Sorry about the delay in answering, my email thought my comment notifications were spam so it held them out there in cyber space for a bit.

I don't know how many laps I will be walking (I am not a runner!). The goal is to have someone from our team walking the whole time which is about 20 hours I think. I would appreciate any support you can give. I will be walking in memory of my brother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law and godmother.
