but here in the US it is a special day. A time to celebrate our country and what our founding fathers (and mothers) fought for to bring freedom to this place. Shortly after 9/11/01 I felt a need to make something to help me deal with all that was happening here. It was a time of great sadness for the US and our friends all over the world but it did bring out much of what is good about this country in the days and weeks following. I saw a picture at a store and went home and recreated it in fabric and this is what I ended up with. It is about 12.5" X 15.5".
