Almost forgot...

... that on Tuesday at craft night at my neighbor's I put the Out of the Darkness top on her design wall and got a better picture than the one of it on my bed. I finally remembered to make sure it got posted for all to see.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. I think part of the draw is that the vivid colors against the black remind me of old fashioned granny square afghans.

In the midst of working on the computer I have gotten some pieces cut for Layden's quilt. I am being good and doing the books and just allowing myself a little quilting time each day to keep my sanity!

It is beautiful!
I was worried about the black fabric when you first started posting pics of it in progress, but it really makes the flower colors pop out and shine. It truly looks wonderful. Great job!

Wow .... what a beautiful quilt! The flowers sure pop out againt the black and that was a good choice to go with. I have a wool shawl that is black and printed with bright flowers and this reminds me so much of it.

I just love your choices in the fabric! I finally posted a picture of a few of my blocks in my blog and I'm still amazed how much I have done and more impressed that you have completed the top!

This is so lovely ! I've never used a black background but lately have been thinking of doing so. I know a lady who nearly always uses black and her quilts are stunning - as is this one !!!
